Shibu Soren sworn in as Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He tasted power twice, but the euphoria was short-lived — nine days and later four months. JMM supremo Shibu Soren, who was sworn in for
the third time as chief minister of Jharkhand on Wednesday by Governor K Sankanarayanan, hopes his tenure will be longer this time. “We’ll complete the term and take the state on the road to development,” promised Soren while talking to the media.
Both the BJP and JMM are confident the government will complete its full five-year term. Former chief minister and Jamshedpur MP Arjun Munda also felt this time it will be a stable ‘sarkar.’
The other two colleagues who took oath with Soren were BJP state unit president Raghubar Das and All Jharkhand Students’ Union (AJSU) chief Sudesh Mahto. Das and Mahto have been appointed deputy chief ministers.
