You’ve done it: you’ve gone through your Botox training, making a few mistakes along the way (probably!), and you’ve worked hard to make sure that you have received your Botox certification. Business premises have been found, all the equipment has been purchased and prepared, and you’ve signed yourself up to all of the different business laws that you know you have to follow. All you have to do now is wait for the customers to start flooding through the doors!
Unfortunately, for some new small business owners, whether you work with Botox or not, that wait can end up being an awfully long time. Without the right online presence it can be very difficult to start getting your business going, especially now that so many people do their pre-purchase research online instead of walking into a business and actually speaking to a person. You need to be able to meet people where they are at, and nine times out of ten that is online. But how is the best way to go about this, and what should you be doing to maximize your presence online?
The very first thing you need to do is to create your own Botox business website. This may feel a bit daunting if you do not have a huge amount of online experience, but do not worry. As long as you make sure that you have the few elements that we have listed below, you’ll easily find yourself getting people interested in your Botox business, and you’ll soon see them start to talk through your door!
- Clear map and contact details
There is nothing more frustrating than finding a great business online, and then struggling to actually work out where they physically are! If you don’t have a clear ‘find us’ page then people will quickly get bored and leave your website. Make it easy for them to find you or ring you, and it’ll be much more likely for them to actually turn up.
- Simple explanations of what you do
Botox and other dermal fillers are rather complicated things, and although you know what everything all means, chances are that if you put all of your education on your website, it’s going to be confusing! Explain what it is that you do in simple language so that people can work out what you offer. If they have any follow up questions, they can ask you in person.
You need to be able to reassure people that you actually know what you are talking about, and that means demonstrating to them that you not only have gone through Botox training, and received your Botox certification, but who from. If you have trained from Dr Howard Katz, for example, the world leader in Botox research and application, then shout about it! It’s a great selling tool.
If you make sure that you have these three elements in your website, it almost doesn’t matter what else you have; you will have absolutely all of the things that new customers will need, and you will start to see them flock through your doors.
