HAMIRPUR
Hamirpur is a central Distt. of Himachal Pradesh. This is not only the tourism potential Distt. of Himachal Pradesh but also as historical importance. This history of Hamirpur is closely associated with the Katoch dynasty Hamirpur was the part of old Jallandhar-Trigarta empire. ACCESS: The airport at Gaggal (Kangra) is 83 km. The closet braod gauge railhead is at Pathankot 185 km at Kangra. Taxis and buses are available at all these places. By road it is 94 km from Dharamsala 206 km from Chandigarh.
CLIMATE: In winter, the climate is cold but pleasant when woollens are required. During summer the temperature is hot and cotton are recommended.

1. DEOTHSIDH(44 km): this is a famous pilgrimage Centre dedicated to Sidh.
2. NADAUN(27 km): In the past it used to be the Headquarters of Nadaun Jagir, Maharaja Sansar Chand of Kangra. The place is famous for Blikeshwar Mahadev temple which is said to have been founded in AD 1929. It has remains of a couple of old places.
3. SUJANPUR TIHRA: It is 22 kms. from Hamirpur town. This place had been the capital of Katoch Dynasty and the old fort is worth visiting. It has a huge ground, where the annual Holi fair is held for
4. BHOTA (15 km): This beautiful place is located on Dharamsala-Shimla road and the road leads Una to Kullu at a distance of 15km from Hamirpur towards Bilaspur.
